Fudgy Chocolate Pudding Recipe

From the pantry to the oven in less than 5 minutes. This is a very quick dessert to make.

Ingredients: (Serves 8)

  • 340 g/12 oz light brown sugar
  • 85 g/3 oz self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking baking
  • 85 g/3 oz cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 225 g/8 oz unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 115 g/4 oz roasted chopped hazelnuts

Method:

Preheat the oven to 160ºC/325ºF/Gas mark 3. Grease a deep 1.5 liter/3 pints ovenproof pie dish.

Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and beat well with a wooden spoon until well combined and evenly colored.

Tip the mixture into the dish and stand the dish in the center of a large roasting tin. Half fill the tin with boiling water and bake for 1 hour or until well risen and firm.

Serve warm with cream or ice cream. Can be served cold cut into squares.
