Chocolate Peanut Butter Kisses Recipe
Loved by all and ideal for cake and cookie sales. The salty peanut butter gives these yummy cookies a distinctive nutty flavor.
Ingredients: (Makes 24-30)
- 225 g/8 oz light brown sugar
- 115 g/4 oz unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten
- 140 g/5 oz crunchy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 280 g/10 oz plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 85 g/3 oz plain chocolate chips
Method:
Preheat the oven to 190ºC/375ºF/Gas mark 5. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine the sugar, butter, vanilla and egg in a large bowl and beat until smooth. Beat in the peanut butter and milk. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Add the chocolate chips and stir until evenly mixed.
Divide into 24 to 30 portions and roll into balls using well-floured hands. Evenly space the dough balls on the baking sheets. Press flat with the back of a spoon and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container for 4 to 5 days.
