Cream together the butter or margarine
and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs, then
fold in the cornflour, flour and baking powder. Spoon the mixture
into a greased 20 cm/8 in sqare cake tin (pan) and sprinkle with the
chopped nuts. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 for
1 hour until springy to the touch.
