Salami Cheese Scones Recipe

Ingredients: Makes 4

50 g/2 oz butter or margarine

225 g/8 oz/2 cups self-raising (self-rising) flour
A pinch of salt
50 g/2 oz salami, chopped
75 g/3 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
75 ml/5 tbsp milk

Method:

Rub the butter or margarine into the flour and salt until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the salami and cheese, then add the milk and mix to a soft dough. Shape into a 20 cm/8 in round and flatten slightly. Place the scones (biscuits) on a greased baking (cookie) sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C/425°F/gas mark 7 for 15 minutes until golden brown.
