Method:
Mix together the flour, baking powder,
sugar and salt. Rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture
resembles breadcrumbs. Mix in the chives, paprika and pepper to taste.
Stir in the milk and water and mix to a soft dough. Knead on a lightly
floured surface until smooth, then roll out to 2 cm or 3/4 in thick
and cut into rounds with a biscuit (cookie) cutter. Place the biscuits
(crackers), well apart, on a greased baking (cookie) sheet and bake in
a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/gas mark 6 for 15 minutes until puffed
and golden.
