Ingredients:
Makes enough to cover one 20 cm / 8 in cake
100g/4 oz icing (confectioners') sugar,
sifted
25—30 ml water
A few drops of food coloring (optional)
Method:
Place the sugar in a bowl and mix in the
water a little at a time until the icing is smooth. Color with a few
drops of food coloring, if liked. The icing will turn opaque if spread
over cold cakes or transparent if spread over warm cakes.
