Creamy White Frosting Recipe

Ingredients: Makes enough to fill and cover one 23 cm / 9 in cake

75 ml/5 tbsp single (light) cream
5 ml/1 tsp vanilla essence (extract)

75g/3 oz cream cheese

10 ml/2 tsp butter or margarine, softened
A pinch of salt
350 g/12 oz/2 cups icing (confectioners') sugar, sifted

Method:

Blend together the cream, vanilla essence, cream cheese, butter or margarine and salt until smooth. Gradually work in the icing sugar until smooth.
